Hajj Celebrations: Embarking on a Spiritual Journey
At Creative Hearts Islamic Preschool, we reserve a special day near the Hajj season to guide our young learners through the sacred rituals of Hajj. Through immersive and hands-on activities, we create an atmosphere that transports them to the holy land of Saudi Arabia, allowing them to experience the essence of Hajj right here in our preschool.
Objective
The objective of our Hajj Celebrations is to provide our children with a profound understanding of the rituals and significance of Hajj, fostering a deep connection to their faith and instilling a sense of reverence for this sacred pilgrimage. By engaging in interactive and experiential learning activities, we aim to cultivate a desire to visit the Ka’aba and perform Hajj in our young learners, inspiring them to embrace their Islamic identity and heritage.
Activity Details
During our Hajj Celebrations, children are fully immersed in the experience of performing the sacred rituals of Hajj. They dress in traditional attire, receive “visas” upon entry to Saudi Arabia, and embark on a journey that mirrors the spiritual pilgrimage of Hajj. From performing Tawaf around the Ka’aba to residing in tents in Mina, participating in the symbolic act of Rami (stoning of the devil), and engaging in prayers at Arafat and Muzdalifah, children actively participate in each aspect of the Hajj journey.
